Summary

John Buffone / GameTimePA.com

After going winless in 2013, the Red Tornado took a step in the right direction last year, winning four games and increasing their offensive production from 8.3 points per game to 25. Now McCaskey will try to take the next step in 2015 by qualifying for the District 3 Class AAAA playoffs.

Returning for the Red Tornado is senior back Randolph Speller, who was a double-threat running and catching the ball in 2014. He should see an increased role in 2015. McCaskey will also be looking for a new quarterback this year with Le'Detrius Sibley graduating. Incoming senior John Burnside has the most experience under center heading into the 2015 season.

To be successful in 2015, McCaskey will need to tighten up its defense, which allowed more points per game than any other team in Section One (36.4 points per game).

McCaskey hosts Harrisburg on Sept. 4 to kick off the season.
