The Crimson Tide are another L-L team hoping that a new coach can open the door to a new era after tapping Anthony Sottasante to head the sidelines in 2015.

"I grew up in Marietta which is the river town right down the road, so I’m really familiar with the community, really familiar with the school, and really appreciate the tradition that has been built over the years from Jack Yough to Mike Burke," Sottasante said. "I think that was the big part of it. It’s a good opportunity to make a difference in kids’ lives.”

Sottasante is a former assistant at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and also was on the staff at Kennard-Dale and York Suburban in the YAIAA.

The new head coach will have to try to close a rather big point differential gap: Columbia averaged just 16 points per game while allowing more than 40.

“Right now, we’re really starting to gel things together," quarterback Jason Price said. "We’re still picking things up as we go along. Like every team we still need to perfect our offense, that’s our goal. Right now we’re on a really good pathway to getting to that goal.”.

Price is taking over for Kyle Warfel who graduated in 2015.

“Our goal is to be in every game. I can’t predict how many games we’re going to win or lose, but what I can predict is that we’re going to be disciplined, we’re going to be organized, and we’re going to play hard from the time the ball is snapped," Sottasante said. "We’ll see where the chips fall from there. Of course our goal is to win a lot of football games.”
